In-form filly Chrysanthemum bids to complete a hat-trick of 2012 wins in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes, the feature event on a seven-race card at Gowran Park.

David Wachman's daughter of Danehill Dancer had the reopposing Zaminast back in fifth when scoring at the Curragh last month and although her Dermot Weld-trained rival is entitled to be sharper for that comeback outing, it would be a surprise to see the form reversed.

Of more of a threat may be Aidan O'Brien's Soon, who has all the top entries to her name and, like Zaminast, may have benefited considerably for her reappearance run at Naas.

O'Brien has good reason to be a lot more positive about his other runner on the card, Wonderful, who starts her three-year-old campaign in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

She looked a fine middle-distance prospect when finishing second on both starts last term and the move up to an extended nine furlongs should bring about plenty of improvement.

If she struggles on the testing going, that could leave the door open for John Oxx's newcomer Katiola, a half-sister to the yard's 2008 Oaks third Katiyra, who relished heavy ground.

Louisville Lip is an interesting contender back on the Flat and appears to have recent Naas runner-up Gunner Lindley to beat in the Breeze Up At Gowran Park May 24th Handicap.

The Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Handicap might be best left to the top two on the card, with the Wachman-trained Queenscliff preferred to Danequest, who will need to be over Thursday's exertions at Tipperary.

A couple of jumps races get the action under way, with The Westener Boy an obvious starting point in the opening gowranpark.ie Maiden Hurdle (2.30) and Dukes Mutiny expected to figure closely in the Goresbridge Handicap Hurdle.
