Chanceitlucky I was very happy with him coming here today. He’s a hard horse to get fit and I never had him as fit as today,. He wants good ground, and then they were all pulling out because of the ground. I said I’d take my chance. He winged hurdles on it and won well. We’ll give him three weeks now. I ran him in Ballinrobe, his first run back after a break, and he ran a lovely race. I went back two weeks after and he ran very poorly. I blamed myself for coming back too quick. He’s after having about five weeks of a break now and he just needs a bit of time. He’ll definitely go jumping fences next year. |

Telegram Sam he’s been stepping forward after every run and we were hopeful today. Sean said he was a little bit keen going down the hill but still he did it nicely. We’ll see what mark he gets and might go for a rated novice hurdle. He’s a nice horse going forward but we won’t be too busy with him, as he’s only a four-year-old. That’s his fourth run, we’ll maybe give him another run and then chat and see what we’re going to do. |
