Ideally we would probably have liked to have gone straight there but off his rating today he’d have missed out twice in the last ten years. We just didn’t want to take the chance and that’s why he was running here today really. He’s won around Galway, he handles the track. It’s been one of the races that I’ve always wanted to win, I haven’t had many runners in it. Like a lot of people I’ve been going racing to Galway since I was a child. We’ll try and keep him in one piece between now and then.
Tramore Fri, 29th May, 2026 Splashing Out She enjoyed herself out in front and I’m delighted to get that with her. It’s coming towards the end of her season but they did a lovely job with the ground here and we were able to run on it. We just decided to change things up with her. She has been frustrating to train, she’s had a few races won and kind of snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. She did it well there and maybe with more positive tactics there might be another one in her. They are doing a good job of watering so we’ll keep an eye on the ground. She’s fit and well, and she’s fresh as she hasn’t had a hard season. She might appear out again.
