Alicious She was very professional. Loved that ground. I'd say it's good to firm ground. She hopped off it. I mean, 3.42 was the time for it. She's not big, so we'll have to decide now whether we go for a winners' bumper or go jumping with her. Delighted for the owners. Pimlico Racing, they haven't had great luck with us previously but they've been very patient and they deserved to get this. |

Get It Girl She improved from last year. She was very green in Thurles and jumped the road twice,. I went down early today to go over the roads and she was fine. She was like a motorbike around the bends and we were able to stay really tight on fresh ground on the very inside. She was tough, she won hands and heels. She has a lovely pedigree, my mother bred her. She’s a half-sister to Blackstairmountain. She likes that very good ground and she obviously wears a tongue-strap. Whether we go for a winners' bumper or go jumping with her, we’ll have to decide. One of the girls who owns her, Emma (Lawrie), it’s her birthday (owns along with sisters Heather and Hazel). They are staying in Wexford so they’ll enjoy it. |

Ivana D'alco She's her own worst enemy, and Brian did the right thing by letting her stride on,. He said she half-bolted with him on the way to the start, and she needs the hood as well as the tongue-tie. |

Ethical Diamond It was hard work but he got the job done. That'll bring him forward. He's in a few races in Ireland and England, but I think there's a nice prize in Kentucky Downs in September over a mile-and-a-half that we might go for. I think it's a million dollar race, so we might have a crack at that. It's a nice left-handed track, ground is usually as hard as iron. It's a track where Grabel won all those years ago (1990, with Mullins in the saddle). It was called the Dueling Grounds then, so we know the place. |

Clay Pigeons He needs good ground so the better ground helped him. Brian gave him a great ride and he definitely jumped much better today and was a lot sharper. Fakenham was probably the wrong track for him, and the wrong ground. I think there is plenty of improvement in him, maybe up in trip. He’ll go jumping fences next year. Maybe Listowel over further might suit him. He’s won two bumpers, a point-to-point, and a maiden hurdle so he’s a fair horse. |

Green Style He had a setback last winter and, being a very good-moving horse, we decided to keep him in. We got him from the Crawfords and any of the ones we've got from them have been very professional. He isn't flashy at home, so that's why we came for a 2m2f bumper, but he has a high cruising speed and that's why I made the running. What he did there is better than what he does at home, and when he steps up in trip, I think he'll be better again. I think he will also go on soft ground and I'd be hoping he could be one for the winners' bumper at Listowel, so we'll see what Willie wants to do. |

Blood Destiny This fella is rated 150 carrying 12st in a good handicap, so that was a real good performance. That’s always in him but he hasn’t always given us that. He’s disappointed me on occasion, but he was very good there today. I’d imagine we’ll follow the same plan as we did last winter. I’d like to see if there’s a nice race for him in Listowel. That will probably be the next option. I think there’s a two-and-a-half-mile race there that Easy Game used to win. That could be an objective. |

Blood Destiny Great tactical rides by both Darragh and Paul. They were the only two horses that stayed on the inside the whole way around. It's a big track to be giving away ground on the outside. This fella rated 150 carrying 12 stone in a good handicap; that was a real good performance. That's always in him but he hasn't always given us that. Caher Roes Den His Downpatrick run was encouraging but he needed to step up to win here today. I got a nice position and he jumped well. Maybe a bit flat-footed off the bend but I liked what he done when he got a bit of daylight,. He ran up the hill nicely towards the finish. He's probably a horse that will jump a fence as well and we'll see what connections will do. |

Columbus We held him up in Killarney as he hadn't any experience over hurdles but, with that experience under his belt, we decided to change tactics and to make the running today. I thought he gave an exhibition of jumping for a horse having only his second run over hurdles. I don't know why he disappointed at Royal Ascot but Colin (Keane) said he just didn't stay, and maybe he was right. The Ebor in York is his next run and we'll see how he gets on there, but I'll be looking at mixing a Flat/jumping campaign. We'll see what happens on the Flat and if he looks good enough, we'll pursue that, but I'd also like to have him for the spring festivals at Cheltenham and Aintree. |

Thread Of Gold Every time I worked him at home last year, he worked better every day,. He is just improving with racing. He was very free early on, but Billy got him settled in behind. He said once he got a bit of cover, he settled lovely. He was doing a half-speed into the dip. When you look at the head-on, you'd say he had no chance coming through that wall of horses. Billy said he had so much horse underneath him, he was just waiting for an opening. As soon as it opened, he was gone through them. . A great sign of a horse is what he did after the line, he couldn't pull him up. That to me showed me that there is huge improvement there. He has plenty of speed, you saw that last year. What he also has now is stamina. With the two of them, we have a proper racehorse. He'll be out of handicaps now, so we'll look at Listed or group races. |

Run Ted Run This horse is very special and was called Run Ted Run by the HOS Syndicate, owned by Margaret and the late Andrew Heffernan. Andrew had named the horse after his down syndrome grandson Ted, so this horse is special and it is fantastic he won first-time out. Patrick didn't lose an inch the whole way around, waited in front and the horse held on to get his head in front at the line. He had been showing up nicely so we kept him for Galway and I'm just sorry the syndicate couldn't be here, as they have other commitments. I'll see what Patrick says but he should probably go hurdling next. I think he'll be a nice chaser in time so he may as well get on the road with jumping now. |

King Alexander I couldn’t believe how well he was travelling, and jumping so well,. He kept himself in the race without having any effort. He got over the last two and then just seemed to saunter up the hill. It was amazing how well he was travelling. I was disappointed with my other three, they just went out like lights coming up the hill. Some horses don’t handle Galway, but this is obviously a fella I’ll be bringing back to Galway year after year. It was a really open race and when people were considering that he was maybe our fourth choice, you can see why he was 20/1. It’s the race of the summer. The Grand National is probably the race of the winter, and maybe the Gold Cup, but when you come to the summer festivals the Galway Plate is the one everyone wants to win. John Neocleous is from Cyprus but he’s based in Dubai. He’s actually on holidays in Switzerland at the moment and said he couldn’t get a last-minute flight. It’s a pity he’s not here. |

Venusienne She won nicely, she disappointed me in Kilbeggan the last day, but I was happy enough with her form coming into today’s race,. Harry was very cool on her. It was all about settling her and he settled her nicely. He got a great jump at the second-last, and I thought from there it was all over if she just jumped the last, and she did. I was wondering had they gone fast enough, and obviously they did the way she closed out the race. She’s a mare that’s going to improve and she’ll jump fences down the road as well. |

Mr Hollywood I was hoping it might be the other way around! Emmet’s horse (Jeroboam Machin) ran very well and then my wife’s filly (Al Arrivee) ran a cracker as well, she was a little free up the front,. I think the winner is improving, his jumping will improve, so he’ll improve over hurdles. Probably a trip to York for the Ebor might be next on the agenda. That jumping will just put him in a nicer frame of mind, I think. Looking at the way he finished there, and in Ascot, I think he deserves a crack at a big prize over in York. |

Witches Familiar We kept her for Galway, after she won so easily first time up, we just thought she was alright,. We had her in for a lot of last season but we kept her as a novice, we thought she was a bit better than the average novice. You won’t get too many Zaraks now for jumping bred mares, it’s nice to have a filly going jumping by him. She did it well and she’s one that we think a bit of. It’s a pity Rich and Susannah can’t be here. We’ll up her in grade as best we can. I’d probably be looking at her as a Royal Bond-type filly. We might just leave her now. I can see her being a good mare in novice company for the whole season. I’d be looking at the long term rather than shorter term with her. |

Cotswold Blue The strong pace really suited and she settled better as a result. We bought her as a yearling and she has had her issues, so we aren't training her hard at home. I think she is improving from run to run and today really crowned her. She is out of a half-sister to Big Buck's and is a fine mare who we had ready to run in the Punchestown Festival before pulling a muscle. That's the regard we held her in and, being six, we weren't going to put her away and kept her going for the summer. I think a jump will help her settle more. She isn't slow either and is for sale. |
