That's brilliant. He was a classy horse on the Flat, his wind is not the best and he wants nice ground,. When things went his way I knew there was a good race in him. The mare (Ejayteekay) ran a cracker. She might have been in front a fraction too soon, and missed the last, but she ran a blinder. It's unfortunate for them to bump into each other but with a prize like that you'd have to run them.

he was a good Flat horse at one time. It looked like he was going to win a couple of times (over hurdles). We gave him a wind operation recently and it’s obviously done the trick with him. A bit of good ground helps him. He was plenty keen enough going past the stands the first time. The plan was to ride him with a bit more cover and a bit colder. I thought he was going to be in a bit of trouble and he might not see it out.
