It was a bit of surprise but jumping is the name of the game and he did do that. On ratings he had a chance but I didn't think he'd be good enough to beat the second horse. He was probably fortunate but they are there to be jumped. He will be kept going for the summer and two miles is as far as he will go. The Stewards requested a report from C.Byrnes, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Arnaud, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed the last day in a competitive race at Aintree, when on his head throughout. He added that the drop into a less competitive race with fewer runners, helped his charge return to form. He concluded by saying that his horse's seem in better form at the moment. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Weights - 5-y-o 10st 12lb; 6-y-o & up 11st 2lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase 6lb extra; Of two steeplechases 10lb extra; Allowance Horses that have not won a steeplechase before 1st March, 2015 allowed 5lb
