The Stewards interviewed Mr R. Deegan, rider of Character Actor, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. R. Deegan in breach of Reg. 10 3(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account the Stewards suspended Mr. R. Deegan for one race day.

A steeplechase for Certified Hunters five yrs old and upwards that have between 29th September, 2012 and 22nd March, 2016 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to -Point Steeplechase in Ireland or Great Britain or in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland or Great Britain and that have not won a *race after 1st March, 2015 other than a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or a Farmers Race (See Irish Racing Calendar for full conditions)
