I really like this horse. I brought him to Ballinrobe first time out and he was as green as grass. I didn't think it would be possible for him to win but he did. Philip wasn't over hard on him the last day behind Barry Connell's horse but the next time he meets him it'll be a different ball game. This trip is totally too short for him. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Raven Rule, trained by W.J. Burke, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an abrasion to a right front leg, but was otherwise post race normal.

A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards which at entry are rated 116 or less (also open to horses which at entry are rated 117-130)
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 8lbs 5-y-o and up 10st 12lbs
Penalties - Performances before 29th June - for every 1lb above the rating of 116 1lb extra On or after 29th June - for each hurdle race won 5lb extra
