six furlongs was too short (last time): he showed plenty of boot around here over seven and I saw a nice race in the Curragh over six but it didn’t work!. C. O'Donoghue, rider of Marshall Jennings trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't let himself down on the ground

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Marshall Jennings, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Allegio, placed second, as compared with its most recent run. The trainer reported that this horse carried a lot of dead weight when top weight in a handicap last time which may have led to the horse running flat. Having considered the report the Stewards noted its contents.
