We tried to bully him a couple of times and it didn't suit and I said to Donie that it was bottomless and it might suit to be going that bit easier. I said to jump him off handy but to keep taking him back. He had good form on the flat but hadn't ran that often which was a little bit of a worry and he's not easy to train but thankfully he jumped that bit better today. Thanks to Gerry Hogan (bloodstock agent) for buying him and at least he's after winning now. We'll probably go for a handicap next and hopefully there won't be too much done with him after that. A novice hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which at entry are rated 106 or less over hurdles, also open to horses rated 107 to 116
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 11lb; 5-y-o and up 11st
Penalties - Performances before 19th December for every 1lb above the rating of 106 1lb extra; On or after 19th December for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 116 or less.
