Downpatrick Fri, 20th May, 2022  Handy Headon He's brilliant (at jumping). Ben said coming in that he is a different horse on good ground and that was too soft for him.

Down Royal Mon, 2nd May, 2022  Handy Headon He jumped super. He delighted me because we have sort of got the key to him the last while. He was very unfortunate to be beaten a short head in Downpatrick. The day he ran at Castletown-Geoghegan it was a 130-horse (that beat him) that had form at Galway last year. The ground was very quick and he felt it and he kept jumping out right. I put bonded shoes on him today to ease that but he jumped super today. Ben said it was very straightforward. To be honest with the weekend (Vaucelet's close second to Billaway at Punchestown on Friday) and everything else, I was half expecting to get caught up the run-in! I have no Willie (Mullins) today!

Punchestown Fri, 29th Apr, 2022  Billaway He is (hard work). He has a fabulous record in these races, he just has momentary lapses in concentration but in fairness to him he always finds a leg. There was one down the back where he just stepped out of my hands. We were lucky that the Christie horse made a mistake at the last as well as us. He's kind of always just doing enough. Fair play to him.

Naas Thu, 31st Mar, 2022  Irish Envoy He’s in the Landrover Bumper so he’ll go there. He’s green and babyish, only barely ready to run. I thought the advantages of running out-weighted the disadvantages of not running before Punchestown. He’ll improve loads from that. He’s a lovely, lovely horse. I think that’s his ground and I don’t think he wants it too heavy. He’s been lovely from day one and I like him a lot. That kid (Townend) is superb. She does nothing wrong and keeps out of trouble.
