The Willie Mullins-trained Vicar Street drifted from Evens to 13/8 favourite ahead of Galway's beginners' chase over two miles, six furlongs but got the job done in good style under Harry Cobden.

The Galileo gelding, whose dam Vroum Vroum Mag was unbeaten in six starts over fences, moved up to join stablemate Ocastle Des Mottes over the last and went on in the straight to score by five and a half lengths, giving his trainer his sixth winner of the festival.

The seven-year-old is owned by J.P. McManus and Mrs John Magnier, and the former's racing manager Frank Berry commented "He had a good run at Punchestown and that brought him on a lot. He jumped very well there today.

"He liked the ground and got the trip well. We are delighted with him. He'll tip away in the novices up until the autumn, and we'll see how he'll get on."
