Punchestown’s going remains yielding ahead of Day Four of the five-day festival today, with the opening race due off at 3.40pm.

The clash of Constitution Hill and State Man along with Champion Hurdle winner Golden Ace in the Boodles Champion Hurdle is one of the highlights of the week, with the Grade 1 contest set for 6.40pm.

Regarding the going, Clerk of the Course Brendan Sheridan reports “following 10mm of watering the ground on both tracks remains yielding. Speaking with Met Eireann, the temperatures are set to come back today to between 14 — 16 degrees but it will be a dry and a nice day again.

“We have 8-10 yards of fresh ground and we’re in a good place and all good to go.”
