Punchestown inspect
Officials at Punchestown have called an inspection for 7.30am tomorrow morning to assess the prospects of racing on Saturday.
The Co. Kildare track is currently unraceable but clerk of the course Joe Collins is hopeful that rising temperatures will bring the frost out of the ground.
However, should conditions not have improved sufficiently by inspection time, plans are in place to switch the entire card to Monday.
'We would definitely not be raceable at the moment, and I think we are going to have a look at 7.30am,' Collins told At The Races.
'The Met Office are saying temperatures are going to rise dramatically through the day and overnight but because there has been so much frost here for the last ten days, it is going to take a while for it to come out of the ground.
'Unfortunately we have a cold wind blowing at the moment which is not helping,' added Collins.
