The early news from Punchestown ahead of today's meeting is that the ground is now soft (Chase) and soft, yielding in places (Hurdle and Bumper).

There is a forecast for dry weather conditions today.

A couple of non-runners are Denis Hogan's pair, Eiri Na Casca (from race two) and Jack The Wire (from race five). Both are reported coughing.

In the finale Noel Meade's Une Lavandiere is out - she's in season.
