In the preceding Group 3 centre-piece, Ger Lyons saddled the third and fourth home, Ardhoomey and Medicine Jack but the Glenburnie runners are seldom far away from another success as Bucky Larson showed when taking out the 'Paddy & Saoirse Casey' Handicap at Leopardstown.

Stable jockey Colin Keane was aboard 5/1 shot Bucky Larson, and though there was just over a length splitting the first four home, the victor did enough to account of Insignia Of Rank by a neck.

"That was grand. He's a kind timid horse. We didn't take him back on his second start in Dundalk and it just didn't work so we learned to take our time and arrive wide and late," said Lyons.

"He's still a baby but we think he'll get ten furlongs in time. He's a lovely individual of a horse, he's growing up and I'd say there's another day or two in him."

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Palace Guard trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.
