Catskill rewards connections' patience

Sat 13th Jun 2009, 20:01

Connections of Catskill were finally rewarded with a win at Limerick today, when Conor Maxwell steered the luckless gelding to a two lengths win in the limerickraces.ie Handicap Hurdle.

Afterwards a delighted trainer Ado McGuinness stated "Catskill had finished second on six occasions in '07 and then had leg trouble and missed a year."

He added "he has come down the ratings a lot and its great to finally get a win with him! He's in at Ballinrobe on Monday but we wont run if the ground becomes firm."
