Dundalk Wed, 4th Dec, 2024  Comfort Line I thought Sean Davis' horse (Sayifyouwill) would win it, but these claimers can be very funny. We were weighted to beat the favourite (Shoot To Kill) with Skontonovski and Comfort Line. Nikki Swango was weighted to beat the whole lot of them, so I thought she was the best one in, in the race. I wasn't expecting a 1-2-3 now to be honest, but it was great. I had one in Laytown one day and I think it is the only one I can remember. He has been a great horse, a great servant and is rock-solid in his grade. In the likes of claimers, he is in at a right price. He's a good horse and good old fun.

Dundalk Wed, 27th Nov, 2024  Tribal Star He was a very expensive yearling from Godolphin, we bought him in July at the Horses In Training Sale. He's a big, raw horse - he's a huge horse, (by) Sea The Stars, takes a little bit of time. I think he will be a lovely horse to look forward to next year in staying handicaps. I think he could be a real staying horse for next year - he's just a big, raw baby and he is only going to get stronger. We just didn't make enough use of him here the last night. The plan today was always to make sure it was a test. In all fairness, Andy Oliver's horse came at him but he wasn't for stopping, he went on again. There's a big possibility he will go over hurdles at Christmas, maybe Leopardstown. We haven't done a whole pile (of schooling) with him as yet, but he'll be learning fairly quick!

Dundalk Wed, 27th Nov, 2024  Apache Outlaw He has improved this horse. I suppose he is not bred to sprint, but I think he is an out and out sprinter off a good fast pace. It was a good race and I don't know where the money came from, maybe it was the Colin Keane factor. I don't know, but he's not a bad horse. It is great for the lads. I'm delighted for them as they are great owners. The second ran a cracker, he got 10lb for winning the last day and he has upped his game. I'd say with Apache Outlaw we might just put him to bed for a while. We might come back for the All-Weather Finals in Newcastle and look at a race pre-race. He has to get a break at some stage.

Dundalk Fri, 22nd Nov, 2024  Enough Already When you drop those horses into that grade, it happens plenty of times. They are just better horses than the others. He did it quite easily and I think he is in on Wednesday. We probably will run him on Wednesday.

Dundalk Fri, 15th Nov, 2024  Dontspoilasale All good! I was very happy with him. . He finished well over five on his last run and he's probably more of a six (furlong horse) which was ideal. . Adam was very good on him, we were drawn wide and he got him out and got him up there into a nice position. . He worked well and he's probably dropped down a few pound. . The job is done and the boys are happy. 

Dundalk Fri, 15th Nov, 2024  Dark Ace He's a good horse, I like this horse a lot. I bought him in Goresbridge for 40 grand at the breeze-up sales.  . He disappointed me the first day but we ran him over seven and I probably shouldn't have, it was my fault. He ran too keen and sort of half ran away that day. He fell in a hole up the straight in Naas. . Then we ran him in Navan and he ran a bit with the choke out and we just couldn't get him to settle. We did a lot of work with him and fair play to Adam and the guys at home. He has really settled down and has really manned up. . I think you could step this horse back to five (furlongs) with the pace he has. . I'm looking forward to him for next year, he is going to have a break. . He has two runs for the all-weather finals and there is a 150 grand race for three-year-olds in Newcastle, and he has one more run to get for that. We might do that with him.
