The Gordon Elliott-trained Dinaria Des Obeaux made an impressive Irish debut when running out a facile winner of the Galtee 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at Cork.

Smart Flat recruit Tree Of Knowledge was easy to back on jumping debut (4/5 to 7/4f) for Joseph O’Brien and dropped away tamely four out after a few jumping errors.

Dinaria Des Obeaux cruised into the lead three from home in the two-miler and was going away when making a slight mistake at the penultimate flight.

That barely halted her momentum as she pulled clear before the last and was eased down in the closing stages for an effortless 29-length success. Tout Est Permis also carrying the Gigginstown colours, plugged on for second after making most of the running.

The 6/1 winner had won her only start on the level in France before being purchased by Michael O’Leary.

"She goes about her business without pulling up trees at home and that surprised us,” said Elliott’s assistant Olly Murphy.

"She travelled and jumped great and if you backed her, you wouldn't have done a whole lot of sweating!"

Paddy Power introduced Dinaria Des Obeaux at 20/1 for the Triumph Hurdle. Boylesports were more impressed and went 16/1 for the Cheltenham contest.
