Business drew clear of his rivals to land the seven-furlong maiden in Dundalk.

The Siyouni four-year-old took the race by the horns inside the final furlong as he began to increase the margin on his pursuers.

He found most and sailed in by a length and a quarter at 4/1. Pocket Veto got a runner-up reward at 15/2 and was a head in front of 4/6 favourite A Taad Moody who could make no impression in the final furlong.

Jockey Declan McDonogh said:- “Gordon (Elliott) said to put him in the box seat and when 'Dusty' (Foley) crossed me I was able to get him settled.

“He picked up well, better than I thought he would because I watched his races in England and I thought he laboured a little bit.

“Gordon has obviously improved him a bit which isn't strange. He moved well on the surface so there could be a nice race in him in the spring up here.

“He's a grand horse and he deserved that.”
