Jockey Jack Kennedy registered his first winner since returning from injury at Downpatrick today when steering Polymath to win the hannontravel Win A Trip To Dubai Maiden Hurdle and lead home a 1-2 for trainer Gordon Elliott.

Downpatrick regular Polymath was getting off the mark at the 14th attempt, having failed to win at the venue in four attempts since May but today made all for a seven and a half lengths win over stablemate Masterson

Elliott later briefly said “listen a winner is a winner and he (Polymath) is going to the Sales so he'll be grand and the other horse (Masterson) wants a bit better ground."

Kennedy was riding his first winner since fracturing his left femur in a fall at Punchestown on May 17, having returned to action last Friday at Killarney.
