Andrew Slattery's Lady Of The Vale resumed winning ways in the Panda Power (Mares) Hurdle at Bellewstown.

The six-year-old mare certainly didn't go unbacked at 13/2 and stayed on best on the run-in to oblige by a length and three-quarters.

She edged left on the run-in and had to survive a stewards enquiry which she did. Rockview Consort (11/4f) took the runner-up berth under Ben Harvey with New Year Honours another half a length away in third at 5/1.

Jockey Cian Quirke said: "She has been running consistently and obviously she had to step up in grade after she won her maiden.

"She just lost her way a little bit in those good novice races, but we always knew she was well up to doing that.

"She had a good race last week and we were happy with her coming out of it. She was well entitled to do that today."

This was Lady Of The Vale's third career success - a bumper and two over flights.
