Gowran Park Wed, 23rd Apr, 2025  Scott Key I was hoping he’d do that as we’re going for a premier handicap at Naas on Monday and that will get him into the handicap. He’d three runs in maidens last year and was always big. He ran well on his reappearance at Cork where he was a bit green, and I thought he’d improve a lot. I always thought he’d handle that ground, and he did it well. Hopefully he’ll climb the ladder.

Cork Sun, 20th Apr, 2025  Smooth Tom He was placed in two Lincolns and why that race suits, is that he goes on any ground but wouldn't have any chance over a mile on good. I had a mad idea of entering him in the Chester Cup over 2m2f as he is that type of horse, but it is only an idea at the moment. Padraig (O'Rourke, owner) is from the Punchestown area so we could also supplement him for the Champion Hurdle. We'll see what happens but if there's only five runners, why not. He unseated at Down Royal last November and galloped loose on the ambulance road for 1m4f. I don't know what happened the next day but obviously that had an effect, so we left him off and he hasn't looked back since. I was thinking of the Galway Hurdle for him last year but I have his sister Royal Hollow for that. That's her aim but we could run both: they are grand horses to have.

Dundalk Fri, 11th Apr, 2025  Drucker He wasn't showing much early in the season. We thought he was a nice horse last year, he had three runs and they were mediocre. I said to Pat (Garvey, owner) that he did his best piece of work last Saturday morning. Andrew rode him about two weeks ago at home and he said 'this is a nice horse'. He is developing. He said he is still a bit raw, he said there is more to come.

Limerick Thu, 10th Apr, 2025  Preparations She is a grand mare and is only strengthening up, as she is still only a shell,. I have absolutely no idea what he (Andy) is thinking regarding plans but today was the plan from when she came in and he had this race picked out. She is rated 70 on the Flat so we're hoping there'll be a day off that mark. We'll find out before the end of the year where she'll get to. Cian is a great rider and we're lucky to have him.

Gowran Park Wed, 2nd Apr, 2025  Eastwatch He’s a big baby, he’s 16.3hh, so he could be for Australia or the Triumph Hurdle but we’re going for a handicap at Royal Ascot. He’s still very raw and I won’t run him for six or eight weeks. I’ll give him a chance, a big horse like him. He’s been working very well with Sunchart, I’d put him in that kind of level. I wouldn’t run him on quick ground. He’ll go on it, but is a big horse and I wouldn’t run him on it. It’s grand, safe ground out there today.
