Naas Sun, 13th Oct, 2024  Cloud Seeker He’s a nice, improving horse. I’m trying to convince the owner to let me run him in the Leopardstown October Handicap next Saturday, but I think he’ll probably be finished for the season now. He’s something to look forward to and he’s brilliant to jump as well. Andrew said he’s idling in front and he’s probably still ahead of the handicapper as he’s only barely doing enough. It isn’t easy to win four in a row and we might have a bit of fun in good handicaps next year.

Bellewstown Thu, 3rd Oct, 2024  Preparations I don't think she was right in Listowel. I was still even disappointed with her in Navan, she is showing more at home than what she is bringing to the track. She is working to a higher level. I think she is probably just a bit weak and I might just put her away for next season. It is grand to get her off the boards. She has famous colours, my wife's colours (now). They won the 1963 Champion Hurdle with Winning Fair.

Cork Tue, 1st Oct, 2024  Staysound Susie She didn't stay seven (furlongs) in Galway so we gave her a break and is only back five weeks. We'll see what's left for her now and I'd like to find a Listed race for her. She likes soft ground and Andrew thinks she is improving, so I'd run her. She is owned by a great bunch of four lads from Fethard who also bred her: Donal Tobin, Liam Sweeney, Willie Leahy who isn't here, and Richie Nevin whose father trained Belsir to win the (1987) Galway Hurdle.

Curragh Sat, 28th Sep, 2024  Narragansett He had a pelvis injury. He had three nice runs in maidens but I thought he might need the run today to be honest,.

Listowel Mon, 23rd Sep, 2024  Sir Allen He was a good hurdler last year but then had three-year-old-hurdler 'syndrome' although is back to himself now. He had a good run up north the last day and we took him out twice recently as the ground was too quick but it is lovely here. . Two of his owners travelled down last night from Armagh and are staying tonight so this is great. We might go for a handicap hurdle at Tipperary on Super Sunday next month.

Gowran Park Sat, 21st Sep, 2024  Rock Etoile It's great for Sam to get his first winner,. He's very good value and he's probably a bit more than a 10lb claimer at the moment. He's tidy and rides well. He stumbled and nearly came down, I don't know what happened. He did it well and he's always capable in that class. 10lb off him was a big help. He ran better than the finishing result in Galway last time, he was a bit wide and the race was a bit messy. He's a grand handicapper and it's great to have the likes of him for the apprentices, to get them going.

Dundalk Fri, 20th Sep, 2024  Powerful Nation He stumbled coming to the line in Tipperary and we felt that's what got him beat. He had a little high suspensory injury. . We took him up to Stephanie Moore who has a spa and he's only back on the go five or six weeks. . I was going to bring him here today for a piece of work, because I want to go for the Legacy Stakes. When I saw this race I said he might as well run. . I've never had anything as fast as him. Today was a gallop for the Legacy. He's a good horse and the owner is in no hurry to sell him which is lucky for me. . I'd say he'd stay six but he has so much speed, why change it. He's hacking all over those a furlong down.
