Jamie Codd made it three winners from his last three rides, as he guided Tullybeg to victory in the bumper at Bellewstown, the McLoughlin Oil INH Flat Race.

Bought for 50,000 pounds after running in two point-to-point's for Colin McBratney, the Sholokov gelding finished a good fourth on his debut for Gordon Elliott (earlier successful with Ardamir in a maiden hurdle at Navan in March.

Fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time today, the five-year-old chestnut was sent off the 1/2 favourite in the colours of Noel and Valerie Moran.

Settled behind the leaders he improved to lead over two furlongs out and kept on well in the closing stages to see off the effort of Tom Taaffe's Walking Fame (18/1) by a length and three parts.

The front pair went seven lengths clear of newcomer State Of Glory (14/1) who finished third under Patrick Mullins for Ross O'Sullivan.

Ian 'Busty' Amond, assistant trainer to Elliott, said: "He'll probably give him a break now and have him back for the winter. He's a nice horse to go jumping with.

"He's owned by the yard sponsors Noel and Valerie so it's great to get a winner for them."
