Favourite What A Feeling (9/4) defied top-weight in division one of the Thanks To All The Frontline Workers Apprentice Handicap at Roscommon.

With Luke McAteer aboard for Pat Murphy, the successful No Nay Never filly built on a Cork third placing from nearly three weeks back.

Here she chased the leader in second, and was ridden to lead two furlongs out.

Pressed a furlong out, What A Feeling stayed on well inside the final furlong to beat the pace-setter Approachcautiously by a length and a half.

“I didn't feel like she was doing much with me and when we turned in I just kicked her up onto the bridle,” said McAteer.

“It was straight-forward from then on in and I knew I was always going to win.

“It might do her no harm getting her head in front and I think she'll go forward from this run.”

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Tynamite trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.
