Testing conditions in prospect at Limerick

The going looks sure to be testing for a Flat card at Limerick this afternoon while there is the prospect of thundery showers ahead of a jumping fixture at Clonmel this evening.

The going at Limerick is currently described as soft to heavy, heavy in places, following 5mm of rain since declarations on Tuesday and the forecast is for a cloudy morning but becoming bright and warm later.

The first on a seven-race card gets underway at 1.30pm.

The going at Clonmel is good to yielding following 4mm of rain overnight and there is a forecast of heavy thunder showers (5mm approx) this afternoon.

The 2m3f handicap hurdle has been divided to form an eight-race card with the action getting underway at 4.55pm.
