Shuttle buses run regularly from Poplar Square in Naas., Those flying to Dublin can use the above services or take the train from Dublina??s Heuston Station to Sallins, which is close to Naas.

Punchestown Day 5 Tips 2024

Photo Healy RacingThe mares are in the spotlight on day 5 of the Punchestown Festival with the sensational grey, Lossiemouth, returning for the Mares Champion Hurdle.

Winner of the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and beaten only once in her career, she is hot favourite to land the spoils before she takes the Champion Hurdle route next season.

The Champion 4-Y-O Hurdle is also on the card featuring a host of potential stars among its entries, including Bottler'secret and Sir Gino.

4.50pm Champion 4-Y-O Hurdle - Bottler'secret

Gavin Cromwell has been bringing Bottler'secret along steadily and the ex-Flat recruit deserves a try at Grade One level following another authoritative display at Fairyhouse at the beginning of the month.

Day 5 Highlight

Lossiemouth is the top performer on Saturday’s card as she attempts to land another Grade 1.

It won’t be an easy task however, as there are a host of smart mares entered to take her on, including Telmesomethinggirl who finished a three-length second to the favourite at Prestbury Park. Hispanic Moon in third that day also reopposes here for Henry de Bromhead.

Ashroe Diamond disappointed at Cheltenham but prior to that had been impressive and is looking to bounce back here. Gala Marceaux got the better of her stablemate last year but Lossiemouth was hampered badly at the third hurdle and she still has a bit to find.
