Long Live The King (post race normal) was a bitterly disappointing 2/5 favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms European as his Ballydoyle stable companion Pirate Chest almost stepped into the breach but ultimately he failed by a short head to the newcomer Adilapour at Gowran. Sat 25th Sep

He battled well but he doesn't kill himself and is a bit lazy,. But he's a good galloper and likes the distance. You have to make use of him. He handles the ground and had plenty in the tank - it just had to be got out. He's a nice horse. A listed race over that distance would be ideal.
