O'Neill seen to good effect on Colour
Colour Of Love (10/1) appreciated a step up to seven furlongs on her handicap debut when storming home late under Kieran O'Neill to take the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package Nursery. Sat 06th Nov
Wayne gave her a very good ride. I never feared anything but I thought Ahaaly might improve. She's run over five before and won twice over six so I wasn't worried about the trip, I was more concerned that she was getting to the end of her tether.
W McCreery
She hated the ground. I just couldn't believe there was only three declared when I saw the runners yesterday. She ran a great race in Naas the last day. She just got going a bit late but she ran the same there today. That's just the way she races. We can't complain as she has been a very good servant and she has won six for us now.
W McCreery
She is a tough little devil. She needs the splits and six furlongs is her ideal trip. She ran a blinder at the Curragh last time out. We might have a look at a Listed fillies race in Naas for her now but we will see what the handicapper does. She needs blinkers as she likes looking at the crowd.
W McCreery
She ran a cracker when third here to Rose Bonheur (three runs back) and that is good form. At Sligo last time she didn't help herself as she acted the maggot a bit. The blinkers here helped her concentrate. She has the ability and it's more a case of her being a bit wayward rather than being a madam. I'm delighted with her anyway as that's her third win for us now.
W McCreery
She was hampered early and didn't turn on the bend. She's a funny horse but sticks her head out and keeps going. She's lazy at home and doesn't do a tap,.
W McCreery
Kieran gave her a great ride and is a really underused apprentice. She still hasn't quite cottoned on to racing yet, and didn't handle the bends or as the American's would say didn't corner that well! This filly should be suited by a mile and good ground next year,.
W McCreery
