Downpatrick Sun, 9th Aug, 2026  Gangster Granny She is just improving all the time. There's a race for her back here again, and it is just amazing what she is doing. Nice prize today and a very competitive handicap. She seems to have a bit of a fan club now!. She is brilliant for me and for James (Murdoch, owner) too. Bought cheap enough and Mrs Harrington said a change of yard might help her. I worked her Thursday week ago and Sam, who rides her, said it was as good as he ever felt her. She'll keep going during the summer. Her half-sister (Ballinlea Star) has won a Group 3 on the Flat.

Downpatrick Tue, 14th Jul, 2026  Gangster Granny Delighted! He (O'Keeffe) gave her a great ride. We wanted to go to Galway with her, so if he (handicapper) gives her a couple of pounds we could get into a 0-110 in Galway. That's the next plan and there is probably something back here for her in August. James is a local lad and she has a lot of local support. We are back on song again, thank goodness. We were going to go in the next race, the 0-110, and she didn't get in. We said we would pitch her in here and I was actually going to put a claimer on her. Then Darragh phoned up for the ride on her. She jumped well on the whole and he was very happy the whole way through with her. She travels well here. Everyone thinks she is a Downpatrick specialist, but I know she could go to Perth or somewhere else

Leopardstown Thu, 18th Jun, 2026  Heliogabalus First run back - we thought we had him fit enough, but you don't know until you go to the track. He seems to be getting stronger the whole time. He is a big horse. He deadheaded in Galway last year, so it was great to get the actual win. The plan is to go back (to Galway). We are all aiming towards Galway anyway, he seems to like it around there.

Downpatrick Fri, 8th May, 2026  Gangster Granny my horses maybe just weren't good enough and you just have to ride the tide. I have good owners though, and James (Murdock) is wildly loyal and a good friend. He bought Gangsta Granny off Mrs (Jessica) Harrington in an online sale and she told me that she has ability, and that a change of yard would probably help. I was very disappointed with her at Bellewstown the last day on tacky ground when she hung badly and she was beaten after only two miles. She loves it around here though and Sean gave her a fantastic ride. We'll see what the handicapper gives her and you'd have to come back here, maybe in two weeks' time. That will give her herself a lot of confidence and hopefully she can follow up again.
