Greatness Awaits (12/1) credited jockey Jordan Gainford’s parents with a first Irish success as owners today, landing Killarney’s Lee Strand Handicap Hurdle for trainer Cian Collins. Fri 18th Jul

Jordan gave him a great ride, the horse has been a good buy since we got him and it was a good pot (E11,800) to win today. We changed things up with him, stepped him up in distance and changed the way we ride him so he seems to be enjoying it. His English owner ran me and we bought him privately and Jordan’s (Gainford) parents now own him, so this is great. This is their first horse, they’re here today so they’re delighted. We’ll keep him busy for the summer and he is in over fences at Wexford on Wednesday so could run.
