Wood springs 40/1 shok for Smith
The second division of the mile handicap at Dundalk produced another big priced winner as 40/1 shot Java Wood ran out a convincing victor. Wed 26th Nov
After race at Dundalk Wed, 26th Nov, 2025 (1st)
He did that well and Julian was happy with him. We have had him up here a few times and he has worked well, so we were happy with him coming here. I was worried about the weight and I was kind of worried about the mile, but Julian said he actually liked it. Long may it continue (association with Pietropaolo), he's value I think and he is definitely an up-and-coming jockey. The plan was to give him the run today and then he is going to have to get a break at some stage. We'll have to reassess and he could back here in January, I won't rule it out.
