We got a little bit of luck but you need that in this game,. It was unfortunate to see Charles' (Byrnes) horse fall but racing is racing once the horse is alright. Robbie said he wasn't really able to use himself on that ground. We'll keep it low key with him for the minute.

I'm thrilled to bits. Some of mine have been running below par and I was getting a bit worried,. We've always thought an awful lot of him. He broke down at Fairyhouse a year-and-a-half ago and we gave him time. It was quick enough for him at Tipperary last time and the soft to heavy suits him. He done it well. We'll look for another handicap hurdle and then he might go jump a fence.

I was a bit disappointed with his run at Navan the last day but he seems to want to get right-handed. I thought he'd improve a bit today although I wasn't sure he was capable of giving 8lbs to the favourite.
