Well-supported King In Love (8/1 — 6s) gave trainer Sean Aherne a welcome winner at Naas today as the Sean O’Keeffe-partnered gelding landed the Bar One "Price Boosts On The Favourite In Every Race At Cheltenham" Handicap Hurdle. Sun 09th Mar

Johnny Cakes (10/3) won a duel with One And Only in Division 2 of the extended two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle at Punchestown to bring up a double for Philip Rothwell and Tiernan Power Roche. Mon 24th Feb
After race at Cork Sun, 2nd Nov, 2025 (1st) 
at Fairyhouse last April, something happened him at the second hurdle where he was pulled up. It appeared he was injured and a screen went up around him, but thankfully he was ok although he became a bit frightened. The ground was too good for him at Listowel the last day and I was delighted to see the dig in the ground today. He has some toe on soft ground which he doesn’t have on good. We’ll keep him over hurdles for now but he’ll jump a fence in time. Sean (O’Keeffe) is riding well and is a good jockey.

this winner was a long time coming for me our horses were very sick for a very long time. Thank God I had a few point-to-point winners lately and this is my first one on the track for a while, so hopefully we’re on the better side of things. King In Love had a lovely run the last day and I was delighted with him then. He has a little turn of foot so we dropped him back in distance today. Hopefully there’ll be another race or two in him. At the end of the last year the ground went a bit quick for him, he’d like a bit of a dig in it.
