He travelled so well. He travelled terribly well in Killarney and he didn't quite find it. He's an old rascal. Even working at home, if he hits the front the worst horse in the Curragh can get to him!. He has had four consistent runs this year. We'll be careful with him, we are holding him together a bit. He's had lots of problems over the years. We might just say that's enough - one more race at the most. It's mighty here! My dad told me the only time he met the Aga Khan was here. Dad had won the Oaks for him and he met him here.
Richard Brabazon
he has had a lot of problems over the years but always comes back. I’m thrilled with that and we’ll keep him to handicaps now and go to Killarney next.
Richard Brabazon
I'm a bit shocked. He's so lazy at home that we don't know what to think.
Richard Brabazon
Korbous has very patient owners who waited two years on him. I thought he was a good horse the day he won but everything went wrong with him from his head to his tail! . They were all small things but good owners persevere. Penel (McAuley, owner) rode in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico so I was telling Leigh she knows her horses!
Richard Brabazon
I couldn't believe how well he's been working at home, and I told Seamie he wasn't a no-hoper!. He's a lovely laidback horse, and we just wondered how he'd pull together today as he'd been working nice and free at home. He found an extra bit under pressure. It will be hard to place him now after winning first time out.
Richard Brabazon
