Niall Madden hopes Shake The Bucket s consistency can be rewarded in the At The Races EBF Kilbegnet Novice Chase at Roscommon this afternoon.

Since opening his account over fences at Wexford in June, the seven-year-old has been knocking at the door with placed efforts at Galway and Listowel this month and now gets the chance in a Grade Three contest over two miles.

"He's been running well and he likes quick ground. That's a big help to him," said the Naas handler.

"He's never disappointed. He has always run well and we hope he runs well again ."

Tony Martin's versatile performer Ted Veale is among the six-strong field, while Willie Mullins saddles last month's Tramore winner Un Beau Roman

The line-up is completed by The Black Russian Usa and Enjoy Responsibly

The Roscommon On-Course Vets Handicap Chase is the second most valuable prize on the programme. Aranhill Chief disappointed on his last start at Killarney but he will bid to return to form in this two-mile-five-furlong contest.

The Stephen Mahon-trained seven-year-old was aiming to complete a four-timer at the Co Kerry venue but he could only manage a well-beaten 11th on that occasion.

Noel Meade will be represented by Pat Garrett and Cross Appeal, who both look to have solid claims, while Arthur Moore's Fever Pitch and Dushrembrandt for Robert Tyner are others to consider. Myles Ahead was still in with every chance when unseating two out on his hurdling debut at Navan. He looks the one to side with in the Munsboro Maiden Hurdle.

The concluding Oran Flat Race looks an open affair with Hickson for John Kiely and Gordon Elliott's Mr Steadfast sure to feature prominently in the betting.

The first of four Flat races is the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden, in which Devonshire and Mzuri are the pick from the form book.

Dermot Weld introduces newcomer Sunny Days, who is sure to have her supporters, while the same can be said for Jim Bolger's debutante Super Focus

The Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap looks an ultra-competitive affair, with Henson Togoville Have A Nice Day Korbous and Crafted Mastery shortlisted.

A Great Force finished a close-up third on his last start at Listowel and he looks the one to side with in the www.roscommonracecourse.ie Maiden, with Mr Snagsby likely to give a good account of himself in the Athlone Apprentice Handicap.
