Kevin was very forceful on him and made up his mind in the dip. I said to him that the horse was very sluggish coming out of stalls and to try and get a position on him and he got a lovely position on him early on,. He made the horse's mind up in the dip but said he got there a little too soon. It is nice compensation (for Monday) and the horse hadn't been lucky all season until Punchestown (in May) when it came right, and it came right again at Autueil. God knows when he last had a break so we'll have a review of his season and we'll see what is coming up. I imagine he could get a break as we have campaigned him hard this season and I think he could improve a lot as in jumping terms he is young.

It was a good performance under that weight for a five-year-old,. He got into a bit of trouble and made that mistake at the last but he picked up well. He might be a bit high for the Galway Hurdle but he'll definitely go back on the Flat. I'm delighted for Mr Bobbett as I've had no luck for him this season.
W P Mullins
it was a fantastic ride by Paul. We didn't think there'd be much pace in the race and he dropped him in lovely at the back of the field and there was actually a lot more pace than we anticipated. Paul was a little bit worried was he travelling but didn't want to give him a squeeze and light him up too early. He held, what he thought, was a bit in hand turning in and met the last spot on and they (him and runner-up) are two good battlers and two good horses.
W P Mullins
Eamonn Phelan sourced him for the Bobbetts so he deserves a lot of credit,. When he came he wasn't an easy ride. Leigh Byrne, an amateur in our yard, rides him every day and he's done a fabulous job with him and settled him right down. Our worry with him was that he'd be too keen. A lot of those ex Flat horses can be and that's why we put the hood on him. He settled beautifully and he won as he liked. Paul was happy with how he jumped and he's been a natural at home from day one. He's come to Leopardstown at Christmas and won as he liked so we'll be stepping him up in grade and with these horses you are hoping that they are Triumph Hurdle horses. The owners have been very lucky and Minella Encore won as their first runner for us and this is there second runner. It can probably only go downhill from here!. They are very enthusiastic and more importantly they are lucky.
W P Mullins
He did that well. He had to commit as they went a mad gallop early on and all he does is stay. He got a soft lead. He's always run well, and hopefully he'll make a nice three-year-old hurdle horse.

I love her and also love the stallion who (from his first crop) had a Stakes winner already this morning in New Zealand. I won't be in any hurry and will wait and see as she id still growing. He is a lovely horse and there's huge improvement in him. He is the pick of the horses to take out of the race, I've no plan.
