< Just Joan completed a double for Wayne Lordan in the Croom House Stud EBF Fillies Maiden at Listowel.

Tommy Stack's 9-10 favourite was second at Naas on her previous outing, but Lordan had to scrub her along before the turn, with leader High Honcho getting them on the stretch.

As stamina came into play, though, Just Joan knuckled down well and was three-quarters of a length on top at the line, with Nearly Famous third.< Fox Dream (12-1) bowled along at the head of affairs in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden and although she was tackled first by Room To Roam and, finally, by Mr Adjudicator she appeared to have her head down where it mattered as they flashed past the post.

However, the photo finish revealed that 20-1 shot Mr Adjudicator's late lunge had forced him upsides Fox Dream, and the judge called a dead-heat.< Markhan showed superior acceleration to run out a comprehensive winner of the www.listowelraces.ie Median Auction Maiden.

The 5-2 shot switched around the heels of the leaders to make his challenge at the top of the home straight and quickened nicely to cross the line five and a half lengths ahead of Laburnum Park

A string of ordinary efforts have led to Strait Of Zanzibar (7-1) slipping down the weights and he took advantage in the Follow Listowel Races On Facebook Handicap.

The seven-year-old fought tooth and nail with long-time leader Hurricane Twister for the length of the straight, with Plough Boy also joining in, and prevailed by a head under Shane Foley.

Michael Halford's team have clicked into gear and he registered his third victory on turf in 2016 & ndash; all of which have come in the past week - when Suvenna (9-2) stormed to glory in the George Fitzmaurice Handicap to start a brace for Foley.

Halford doubled up thanks to the Katie Walsh-ridden Asbury Boss (4-1) in the Bryan MacMahon (Q.R.) Race, while Busy Bush (8-1) broke her duck at the 22nd attempt in the St. John's Literary Centre Handicap.
