Pencilhimin (20-1), a full brother to 2006 Gold Cup hero War Of Attrition, made a winning start to his racing career in the Student Raceday 11th April Maiden Hurdle at LimerickSat 16th Mar

Great start for Attrition's brother
A full-brother to War Of Attrition, Pencilhimin (20/1), trained by Gavin Cromwell, made his debut belatedly, at the age of eight, and he got the job done in style in the Student Raceday 11th April Maiden Hurdle at Limerick. Sat 16th Mar
He burst a blood vessel when favourite on his last chase run at Punchestown, and we are training him out of a field now. We have to be careful on what ground we run him as he needs an ease. He's a full-brother to War Of Attrition.
Norman Cassidy
he was 18lb better off, including the claim, with the second horse (Gallant Oscar) compared to a run earlier this year and I was confident of beating him. I was going to go chasing after his last run in Limerick, and he'll probably go chasing over Christmas but first there's also a valuable handicap hurdle back here next month.
Norman Cassidy
what's seldom is wonderful! He's my only horse in training and I have very few runners these times. He has had lots of problems and has nuts and bolts in a joint and also suffers with his back. His previous owners pulled out of him and I have him a year; he is only rated 102 over fences and might go chasing next.
Norman Cassidy
