Cheltenham Fri, 13th Mar, 2026  Wilful It’s fantastic and these are the days you dream about, it’s magic. You hope they happen and you build yourself up to it, but when they do they are very special.

Punchestown Wed, 18th Feb, 2026  Rebel Cowgirl . Two-and-a-half, going a right good gallop, is probably ideal for her. We held her up a bit the last day over two-miles-seven in Thurles and it didn’t work out for us. We decided to go back and make the running today and keep kicking. In fairness Cian gave her a great ride and she didn’t miss a trick. We’re delighted and we’ll try and get something similar in three or four weeks time. She’ll be a nice mare over a fence next year. She’s a well-bred mare, she’s out of a half-sister to Appreciate It.

Gowran Park Thu, 22nd Jan, 2026  Now Is The Hour This is unbelievable stuff and I wasn't sure if he had won, as it was close. Eoin was very good on him and he is great value for his 5lb claim. It is a fantastic race to win and what a difference a day can make!. You couldn't have said he was beaten when falling at the second-last at Cheltenham last March and he was a maiden coming here, so it was a nice way to break his maiden tag. The race is a big part of the calendar with a huge history and while I had finished second in this race last year, it is great to have your name on the cup. It is the first time he has got his ground since he won a Grade 2 hurdle race at Haydock. He again qualifies for the National Hunt Chase so will go straight there, despite having a penalty for winning this. If he doesn't do anything else, he has been fantastic for us and we have been on the cold list for a while so this is well appreciated. Eoin is good value for his claim, is improving all the time and is a nice fella.

Thurles Sun, 18th Jan, 2026  Eachtotheirown Plan A was to go and win the Royal Bond, but that didn’t happen for him on the day and a few of ours were running below par. The ball has bounced back now,. He isn't really a front-runner but there was going to be no pace today, so we decided to buck him out and lead. If somebody wanted to take it off him, well and good. I don't know what mark he has run to today and I'll have to talk to Tim (O'Driscoll, joint-owner) and decide plans, but I think he is top-class. He'll still have a nice handicap mark if we want to avail of that, but we could look at a graded race too. He needs five runs to qualify for a County Hurdle, which is almost impossible for a novice, but he might go for a Supreme Novices although it looks a hot race this year. He is all speed and we are delighted to have him back to what we thought he was.

Fairyhouse Thu, 15th Jan, 2026  Needs Must he had a good run the last day and we thought he had a good chance. He’s a nice horse and Jack said he’d probably be better in a better race. He travelled well and I loved the way he jumped. He quickened to the front and then he kind of pulled up when he got there. It was good though. The handicapper can’t do much to him off 108 and it was the right race for him.

Fairyhouse Thu, 15th Jan, 2026  West Of Carrig There’s normally great support every day we go racing with uncles, aunts and everything, but of course he wins when nobody comes, only two brothers!. I’ll never beat the first day winning a point-to-point at home in Carrigtwohill (Cork) but this comes very close in fairness, it’s brilliant.

Fairyhouse Wed, 14th Jan, 2026  Western Diego It was a fantastic ride by Brian,. He’s a very tricky horse to ride but Brian knows him well. He just bided his time and came with one run, that was the difference. You need experience in those two-mile handicap chases and he’s built that up. He had good-class bumper form and hurdle form, he’s just a decent horse. I’d imagine his route probably maps itself, all those good handicap chases. Now that he’s settling, he could probably go up in trip. We could look at the Grand Annual with him, I’m not sure at this stage. He’s another one of Aubrey McMahon’s buys, he bought him at the Clipper Logistics dispersal. He took a chance on him when a lot of people wouldn’t have. He deserves huge credit as well.

He won two bumpers, was a proper horse and Fr Shane Casey (part owner) loves running him and my daughter Gillian is the horse's other owner. He has come back down to a winnable mark recently and we're looking forward to the summer now. He beat Ash Tree Meadow (Galway Plate winner) by nine lengths once, is a proper little horse, and not too many win over €180,000 in prize money like him.
