Punchestown Tue, 28th Apr, 2026  Western Fold That is great and while I was nervous of the three miles, the last two times we tried him over it, we rode him too handy,. We rode him cold today and it was a good performance. Some horses come to the end of their season around now but he has been busier than most and is one of the top five earners this season. We initially thought about going for the American Grand National, a race Zanahiyr won last year for us, and while we have tried Western Fold in open company in Ireland and it didn't work out, the American race is a Grade 1 so is nothing to be sneezed at. I'm not saying we won't go to America but there is also the PWC Champion Chase at Gowran in October for him too and maybe we could pot hunt too. The key to this horse is the ground and he is a stone better on it. He will have a little break now and while I'd love to go back for the Galway Plate, he might be too high in the weights after today.

Tramore Mon, 20th Apr, 2026  Tell Us This He has been consistent at a level all season and, back down in grade today, I suppose he was entitled to win it. It was an opportunity to win a race and whatever will be, will be. If he's not sold we can mix it with him, he is open to run in anything.

Clonmel Thu, 2nd Apr, 2026  Maxxum He is a good horse but it has been hard to place him,. It is a long time since he has jumped a fence and the owners weren't that keen to run him back over fences but being so hard to place over hurdles, I convinced them to run here today. . He did it well, jumped well and stayed galloping. I'm delighted with the way he jumped. He is a great horse and now that he is back winning over fences, we will continue to pot hunt with him. Dee Capo ran a lovely race, he was a bit sticky early on after his run in Cheltenham and he hit the line well, so I was happy. Danny (Gilligan, jockey) said it was a bit sharp around here for him.

Limerick Sun, 22nd Mar, 2026  Prophet's Corner We wanted to go to the Punchestown Grand National Trial but he met a setback and the last day, he probably needed the run. He is a good honest horse who runs well most days and he dropped in class today, so maybe was entitled to win. He needs soft ground and the plan is to run again if he gets it, as he hasn't had a hard season.

Cheltenham Fri, 13th Mar, 2026  Wilful It’s fantastic and these are the days you dream about, it’s magic. You hope they happen and you build yourself up to it, but when they do they are very special.

Punchestown Wed, 18th Feb, 2026  Rebel Cowgirl . Two-and-a-half, going a right good gallop, is probably ideal for her. We held her up a bit the last day over two-miles-seven in Thurles and it didn’t work out for us. We decided to go back and make the running today and keep kicking. In fairness Cian gave her a great ride and she didn’t miss a trick. We’re delighted and we’ll try and get something similar in three or four weeks time. She’ll be a nice mare over a fence next year. She’s a well-bred mare, she’s out of a half-sister to Appreciate It.
