It's East India time in Kildare
Unraced East India was heavily backed in the ring before the seven furlong juvenile maiden and he was cheered home by his supporters as he showed a good turn of foot in getting off the mark at the Curragh. Sat 19th Jul
We always thought he'd be suited by a step up to ten furlongs and he loved the ground,. It was a nice race for him and it worked out well. He got towed into it well and we'll see where that takes us now. He's in the Hunt Cup and also has the option of the Wolferton. I'll talk to John (Ferguson) and see what he thinks. He can go asleep in his races and always needs a wake up call. Shane said when he took a hold of him he took off.

He's a lovely big horse and he stepped forward nicely from his first run. We gave him a bit of time as he's a big horse. He loved the ground and will have no bother stepping up to a mile. Whether he'll run again this year is debatable but he's a nice colt. Shane said he's still quite babyish but he was always confident that once he got a hold of him that he'd pick up for him. I'd say he's still green, and hopefully there is more to come. He could be a nice prospect for next year. We took our time with him. They are great people to train for in that they never rush you or put you under any pressure to run them, and we just felt that he'd benefit from the extra time which he did. The patience will pay off. He's not slow and I'd say he'll start off over a mile next year.
