Queen brings further joy to Landy and Lyons
Iron Major has been described as a bit of a character in the past and he was reportedly matched in running on the exchanges at the basement price of 1.01 in the win and place markets on the Crowne Plaza Jockey & Trainer Rated Race at Dundalk. Queen Of The Sand showed determination in abundance to bring up a double for Ger Lyons (took the previous race with outsider Azurite) here. Wed 27th Nov
Confidence in Rummaging proved right
Twice previously a course winner, including over this seven furlong trip, Rummaging was confidently expected to go in again, in the Dundalk Stadium – Light Up Your Night Handicap, and he did manage to justify odds of 5/4, but only just. Wed 13th Nov

She's well named as she's won a few here (three). She deserved that big time . she was just chinned the last time after being caught for a bit of room. She's an absolute superstar and she's given her owner (Declan Landy) a great bit of fun. He's a very lucky owner (an example being Nice Style who won four in a row for him in 2008). He does a lot of work for us around the yard . fencing and a gallop mix.

She is a genuine filly, and has been running well all season. She was drawn bad at Roscommon the last day and her ideal trip is really a mile, but the ground was going against her this weekend so we took a chance and came here.

Its nice summer ground which she needs and her honesty is her biggest asset. It was a good brave ride by Colin, he is a good kid and we needed to claim off of her as there is not much of her. She is the lightest horse in the yard by a long way.

She is a very light filly. One of the things she has going for her is that she is pure honest and has guts. I thought she was a Nursery type filly all year and its nice for her owner (Declan Landy, who is from Kildare and is in the fencing business) that she now has a win as a 2yo on her pedigree. She will have a nice break now and come back over seven furlongs to a mile.
