he seems to like it here and the ground was lovely for him, as he just likes to get his toe in. He retains plenty enthusiasm even though he’s rising eight next year and he felt good today and I was always happy. I was able to use Michael O’Callaghan’s horse (Blue De Vega) as a lead horse and I just went by him easy. He idled a little bit but I pulled my stick into my left hand and it was never in doubt. He’s a gorgeous horse to ride, he’s a push button job. He lobs there on a long rein and doesn’t overdo it and when you ask him to pick up, he does plenty.
David Nicholls
It was a fair decision as he gave us a bump and carried us across the track a bit,â . He's a tough horse but has had a lot of different jockeys, the poor horse! (It would be better) if someone would commit to riding him maybe when he comes to Ireland and ride him all the time. He loves a bit of juice and we've stayed over for the last two days and it seems tacky on the back straight. I'll speak to Lady O'Reilly and see what she wants to do. The fast ground at Dubai might probably break him - we like the Irish air!
David Nicholls
Dandy said to me 'do whatever you want'. I got a good lead into the straight. We were going so steady I thought that if I got one burst away I'd keep going. He won quite well. He feels like a good horse but he just needs them to run fast. He likes to come off a rattling fast pace but when you're in this kind of company you can do what you like on him. He's had a lot of traffic problems in the past and I just told Chris to make up his own mind on how to ride him. He gave him a great ride and maybe that's the best way to ride him. I brought him over myself and he travelled over really well, ate up everything and he was so relaxed. He'll come back here again and deserves to go for all those races now. He'll go to Dubai at the end of the year.
David Nicholls
