Gordon's horse (Elliott, Last Round) was only a few lengths ahead of him at Thurles the last day, so I thought he wouldn't be far away from him again today. He didn't really get the three miles and a furlong there, so I was hoping the trip today would suit. I've had him since he was a foal and he is a family pet. All the lads in the yard ride him and it's unlucky for Evan Daly. He would have been riding him but he was short one ride in a point-to-point to ride in this race. Andy gave him a super ride and is great value for his 7lb. His dam is a half-sister to horse called Lough Derg that Martin Pipe used to have. He would stay forever, but this fella doesn't quite get the three mile trip. He might get it when he is 14!
