Oliver unleashes another smart one
After striking here last Friday night with an impressive newcomer in Tom Melbourne, Andy Oliver was at it again in the Dundalk Stadium – Light Up Your Night Maiden. The market gave the hint, that first-timer, Vitally Important, could be good and so it transpired as he landed the mile contest in style under Chris Hayes. Wed 10th Dec
we were expecting a big run from him the last day at the Curragh but I had no explanation why he ran so badly. He may have had a look around and we were more positive today and Chris gave him a super ride. I thought the turning track would help and we'll see what the handicapper does now but he does have handicap options.
A Oliver
Fran gave him a great ride. He's a big horse and showed a lot of promise on his first start. He didn't build on that in his two runs this year but we put a lot of that down to the ground. Even though he's by Pivotal, he likes a bit of better ground and it was just about ideal today (officially good to yielding). We'll see what the handicapper does with him.
A Oliver
He came to me earlier this year but he had a minor setback and we were under a bit of pressure to try and get him out this year,. He was hardly more than ready to run and I think he's a smart horse.
A Oliver
