We've no real plans, but we might step him up in trip. He's going well on the soft ground so the winter shouldn't bother him. There isn't much for him between now and Christmas. He loves his racing and his heart is in the right place.
Oliver McKiernan
It's tougher ground out there today than he's ever ran in so we weren't sure how he'd handle it,. I suppose it's the same for them all. He handled it well enough and went about his business okay. He just jumped his hurdles very high and maybe that was the ground. Normally he flies the top of his hurdles and gains lengths. Probably because of the deep ground he was just jumping over them rather than flying them. He may go for a novice hurdle at Tipperary in a fortnights time. He's finished as a novice then so he'll have a break and then we'll look at Christmas for him.
Oliver McKiernan
He's a great little horse, and as game as a gander! I thought the big weight and shorter trip would test him today but the horse and Robbie get on well together. He might have a little break now before heading west (Galway Festival). The ground is beautiful here today, and you couldn't blame it for a horse getting beaten.
Oliver McKiernan
Whatever Jacksays had a good run in a good race at Fairyhouse recently and did that nicely. The way he finished there, he seemed to like the good ground but he won his point to point on bottomless ground!. He'll probably go to Punchestown for a three miles handicap hurdle now - hopefully he won't get too much weight as he is a small little horse.
Oliver McKiernan
