Shantou Village could head to the Punchestown Festival granted suitable ground conditions following his easy victory at Fontwell on Wednesday.

Trainer Neil Mulholland will also consider a novice handicap chase at Sandown for his talented seven-year-old, who made a triumphant return after five months off the track.

"He jumped very well and on Saturday he did his best piece of work this season," Mulholland told At The Races.

"There's a novice handicap at Punchestown where we entered today. There's also a novice handicap at Sandown. That was hopefully a confidence booster.

"It's all ground dependent. He wouldn't want it any quicker than it was at Fontwell."
