Lil Rockerfeller will bypass the Ryanair Stayers Liverpool Hurdle and is set to instead head to Punchestown.

Neil King's charge ran a cracker to beat all bar Nichols Canyon in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham.

King said: "We've decided to wait for Punchestown as it gives him a bit more time, which will be a help as there's no doubt he had a hard race at Cheltenham.

"We also feel the nature of the track at Punchestown will suit him better than Aintree, so we're looking forward to it.

"He's had a marvellous season, picking up a lot of place money, and it would be great if he could go out on a win."

Unowhatimeanharry is not certain to head to Aintree on Saturday despite featuring among the 21 entries.

The Harry Fry-trained nine-year-old was a red-hot favourite for the Stayers' Hurdle, but could only finish third.

He would appear to have a strong chance of gaining compensation on Merseyside, but owner JP McManus has other options in the Grade One event.

Fry said: " He's entered and we will be looking to run but we will see how the week pans out.

"I imagine ground will play a part and what other horses JP McManus has entered in the race and what he would like to run.

"He has been fine. Obviously it is quite a quick turn around and no doubt a decision will be made nearer the time."

Unowhatimeanharry is one of three McManus-owned entries along with Alan King's Yanworth and Jezki from Jessica Harrington's stable.

Yanworth was a disappointing seventh when favourite for the Champion Hurdle, but could be seen to better effect if stepped up to three miles on Grand National day.

Other contenders include Warren Greatrex's stable stalwart Cole Harden, Gordon Elliott's Festival heroine Apple's Jade and Harrington's Coral Cup winner Supasundae.
