I'm from Letterkenny, Co Donegal and my first association with horses was through pony racing or flapping. That brings all the young jockeys together and you can see the future racecourse jockeys. Donegal is on top form at the minute with jockeys! The likes of Dylan Browne McMonagle, Patrick McGettigan, Oisin and Conor Orr, Luke McAteer and Martin Harley - they are all top-class jockeys, and they are all making a real name for themselves.

Frankie John has brought his form to a new level this year since going chasing. He justified strong market support on his debut over fences, looking as if a return to further would help him realise his full potential.

Just as he did in 2025, Aidan O’Brien sent out six winners at Leopardstown’s all-juvenile card and his final winner was City Of Gold in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Nursery over seven furlongs.
