The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference jumping the last and before the line involving County Final, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second, Kazansky, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.W. Flanagan stated that his mount was intimidated by Kazansky after jumping the last and again around eighty yards from the line. D.J Gilligan stated that he received interference when County Final came into him and made contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted

S.W. Flanagan, rider of County Final, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from the left going down the straight

D.J Gilligan, rider of Kazansky, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump at the last hurdle.
